The Wedding Banquet

Gao Weitong and his gay lover Simon live together in Manhattan. Their tenant is Weiwei, who came to New York to study painting. The father-in-law and mother-in-law who live in Taiwan have been forcing Wei Tong to get married. Wei Wei also hopes to get a green card, so Simon proposes that the two of them fake marriage to solve their problems. The father-in-law and mother-in-law came all the way to attend the wedding banquet. After the banquet, everyone was drunk, and Wei Tongwei pretended to be in the wedding room... The second part of Ang Lee's "Father Knows Best Trilogy" won the Golden Bear at the 1993 Berlin Film Festival. Award, nominated for Golden Globe Award and Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
