On the Border

The story revolves around "What are the Troubles of Teenagers?" Hua Dongxing, a Korean boy from Yanbian located on the border between China and North Korea, wants to leave the village and go to South Korea to pursue his ambitions. He came to the city to find his father and ask for travel expenses, but his father was nowhere to be found, so the young man could only start his wandering in a small border town. The short film by emerging Chinese director Wei Shujun won the Special Mention Award in the Short Film Competition at the 71st Cannes Film Festival.
