The Silent Revolution

2020・Germany・112 minutes

In 1956, a class of graduates in East Berlin, under the restriction of information blockade, learned over and over again that the Hungarians were bravely fighting the Soviet revolution and suffered heavy casualties, and decided to gather in class the next day to observe two minutes of silence to pay tribute. Unexpectedly, this small move would trigger huge waves. The principal, together with senior officials from the Ministry of Education, labeled them as rebels. If the mastermind was not discovered, the entire class would not be able to graduate, and even their family's jobs would be affected. At this time, should we unite for justice or give priority to self-preservation?
