“The Vietnam Action” is a documentary about the improvised live art performances at the 2023 Dunghhingh International Live Arts Festival, which was held in summer 2023 on both sides of the Sino-Vietnam border river, the border river between China and Vietnam.The film is an essay film that combines performance with environmental art, live art and eco-somatics and is an archival documentary about the arts festivals held in the port cities of Mong Cai, Vietnam, and Dong Xing, China.
