In Taitung, in order to serve the gods in the sky, a group of people go shirtless every Lantern Festival and stand on the palanquin to let people blow up themselves with firecrackers. They are called the Han Dan Ye. . The members participating in the ritual of bombing Handan have always been mysterious. It is rumored that they are members of the underworld. Some have been killers, worked in debt collection business, and served prison terms. Some are leaving the Taoist life, and some are learning how to enter the Taoist life... No prejudice, no Questioning, this film faithfully presents the different fates and life attitudes of these fleshly gods, and connects the contradictory states of their own lives through folk rituals.
