Three Times

An unrepentant love spans a century from the beginning of the 20th century, and presents three completely different views of love in the three most representative eras in Taiwan. The three stories, "Love Dream", "Freedom Dream", and "Youth Dream", start from the prosperous Dadaocheng a hundred years ago, to Keelung, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, and finally end in today's Taipei. Director Hou Hsiao-hsien was nominated for the Palme d'Or in Cannes in 2005, and Shu Qi won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress that year.
