WE ARE X

X JAPAN, which led the visual kei rock trend in Japan, was at its peak in the early 1990s. However, after bassist Taiji left the group for some reason, drummer and band leader Yoshiki was injured during a performance, and a series of unsatisfactory contract issues, lead singer Toshi was brainwashed by a cult and left the group, causing the band to announce its disbandment without warning in 1997. The following year, guitarist Hide replaced Passed away unexpectedly. In 2007, X JAPAN reunited and made a comeback. This film records the sensitive and delicate inner confessions of Yoshiki and Toshi, and teases out the truth about the life and death of X JAPAN.
