March: The Southern South

Qian Hui, an elderly photographer who just returned to Kaohsiung from the United States, told her granddaughter a past event buried in March 1947. In the early postwar period, after experiencing drastic changes in culture and language, Qianhui, who was still an elementary school student, witnessed her sister Yingxia, who was a high school student at the time, and her love interest Guangrui being involved in the turmoil. This unspeakable memory resurfaced through the frames in Qianhui's mind and a Japanese children's song.
