"Photo Retouching" is a disappearing traditional skill. Before the advent of digital photography, retouching was the earliest form of "photo editing" and "beautification." Lin, the retoucher, is the daughter of a photographer. She learned her father's techniques and undertook commissions from photography studios across Taiwan, from weddings and births to her retirement. Through the reminiscences of a female professional's life, the film also reflects the passage of an era.
