Rockfield: The Studio on the Farm

Black Sabbath, Oasis, and Coldplay have all recorded here! In 1960, in the countryside of central Wales, England, a pair of brothers inherited their parents' farm and ranch. Their fanatical music dreams made them decide not to pursue a serious career, and built a simple recording studio in the attic of the farmhouse, using pig feed bags as soundproofing cotton to record their own works. Later, he transformed his farmhouse building into a recording studio with accommodation, becoming the world's first residential recording studio and the most well-equipped independent recording studio outside the mainstream record companies at that time.
