Whale Island

"Not an island/I am a fish/Wake up at any time/Start at any time" - Lin Sheng-xiang "Floating Island" Taiwan, surrounded by the sea, has unique natural conditions for being close to the ocean. However, due to factors such as history, politics, and beliefs, most people choose to turn their backs to, or even fear, the ocean. The film took three years to lead the audience from land to the sea, which is closest to Taiwanese but most unfamiliar. It records the sincerity of marine literature writer Liao Hongji and underwater cetacean photographer Jin Lei as they embrace the ocean, and also talk about their adventures in sailing to freedom. Along the way, they bonded with their loved ones on the shore.
