The two directors spent three years, spanning more than 50 countries, and brought together more than 2,000 women to tell their stories. She stopped going to school, she was taken as a lover by her biological father, she was disfigured by acid attacks by her husband...the truest self-revelation of these women, whether they are happy or unfortunate, are voices that should not be buried in the world. This film captures the life stories of women from all over the world, and while demonstrating their ability to change the world, it also attempts to find solutions to reconcile diverse genders.
