Fierce Battle of Kinmen for Peace
2026・Taiwan・40 minutes
《Fierce Battle of Kinmen for Peace》 is a 25–30 minute documentary that uses "door" as a central metaphor. Through the life actions of three key figures, Li Tai-shan, Li Chu-feng, and Master Xinghai, it connects the souls of the dead in the Kinmen Battle, the lonely souls of Wanying Gong, and the ancestors who went to Nanyang for salvation. The film combines battlefield ruins, religious rituals, and island daily life to show how the Water and Land Dharma Assembly transcends the boundaries of Yin and Yang, life and death, and enemies, allowing historical wounds to be transformed into a process of collective healing. Between war memory and Buddhist compassion, Kinmen reopens the door to understanding and peace.
