The Assassin

Many years after the Anshi Rebellion, 10-year-old Nie Yinniang was taken away by a Taoist nun and trained into a top assassin with special skills, specializing in assassinating Jiedushi. Day after day, Yinniang assassinated the tyrannical feudal town that was endangering the world. Until a certain assassination attempt failed, the Taoist nun ordered her to return to her hometown and assassinate Tian Ji'an, the strongest Jiedushi envoy in the north, her cousin and her childhood sweetheart. The dusty past comes to mind. Can she complete this assassination mission? This film is adapted from a Tang Dynasty legend and stars Shu Qi, Chang Chen, and Satoshi Tsumabuki.
