"If you don't care about my future on earth, then why should I care about my future in school?" In 2018, 15-year-old Swedish student Greta decided to strike for global warming and climate change. A few months later, her protests spread around the world. As of 2019, approximately 1.4 million students have participated in strikes initiated by her. This young girl with Asperger's syndrome, obsessive-compulsive disorder and selective mutism has become a world-renowned environmental activist "Swedish Environmental Girl" and was nominated as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019.
