The Dreamer

From Chen Da's folk singing, to the aerial view of the carpet-like rice waves, and the beautiful and fertile Chishang, behind this is the story of a group of people who spent more than 20 years building a dream. This film was shot by Golden Horse Award-winning documentary director Xiao Juzhen over two years. Through interviews with farmers, it reveals the unknown stories of the local cultivators behind the beautiful countryside and the dreamers on the rice waves; it also provides an in-depth introduction to the Liang Zhengxian, the owner of Chishang Jianxing Rice Factory and an important driving force behind the transformation of Chishang's destiny, tells the stories of Taiwanese farmers.
